Manhattan Software Launches GREAT Sustainability Initiative

New tools designed to help organisations make corporate property decisions that will result in the most sustainable, economic and productive facilities in Europe

London (3rd May 2010) - Manhattan Software, the global leader in real estate management software, has announced the launch of an innovative sustainability tool designed to help organisations make corporate property decisions that will result in the most sustainable, economic and productive facilities in Europe.

The Manhattan GREAT (Green Real Estate and Asset Technology) Initiative is an integration of IWMS and GIS technologies, which incorporates time-based information, financials and sustainable best practices.

This evolution from traditional IWMS to sophisticated life-cycle management solutions allows organisations to analyse and model real estate decisions that ensure the most sustainable, economical and productive facilities are being built and renovated all over the world. GREAT links GIS technologies and IWMS in an economic and productive manner to analyse, model and manage facilities, entire real estate portfolios, operations and maintenance, projects, sustainability and finance.

Besides introducing sustainability best practices into the entire lifecycle of the built environment, Manhattan has created a targeted application for the GREAT Initiative called the Environmental Performance Management (EPM) module. This module is designed for any type of building in an organisation’s portfolio and provides a tool for energy billing (loading, validation, history, reporting, reconciliation), metering, procurement, financials, consumption reporting, carbon footprint tracking and reporting, and e-counting throughout the lifecycle of an asset or building. Embedded business analytical capabilities provide internal business intelligence for dashboarding or any type of visualisation of sustainable data for more accurate decision making.

“The first quarter of 2010 represented the most successful revenue bookings in our 27-year history demonstrating continued momentum from 2009 – which was our best year in terms of new client acquisition and entry into new vertical industries,” said Steve Vatidis, global CEO of Manhattan Software. “The market for CAFM (computer aided facility management) and IWMS has heated up during the economic downturn as organisations realise the value of strategic planning, portfolio management and analytics in their efforts to cut costs and improve productivity. Now with our GREAT Initiative, Manhattan is integrating financial and business management together with powerful geographic knowledge. Operating in the cloud, our SaaS solution makes it possible to identify, collect, organise, collaborate and visualise critical financial and geographic information for global awareness and decision making.”
