Manhattan Software Helps Transform Management of Leased Assets

Real Estate technology enables fast, accurate creation and communication of lease summary documents

London (7 July 2011) - Recently, the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE) brought together a highly influential group of real estate organisations and service providers in a jointly funded interoperability initiative to prove the feasibility of the electronic transfer of commercial lease data to property management systems.

Currently, lease detail information created by a lawyer is captured in text format and then rekeyed a number of times by client and service provider staff - an inefficient process that is prone to delays and errors.

As a leading property system provider and OSCRE member, Manhattan was invited to contribute to the initiative by utilising the existing OSCRE compliant import module. This would take the lease summary data in its electronic format from law firms and accurately transfer the information automatically into Manhattan via user controlled Workflow.

The subsequent launch event, held at Eversheds in London on July 5th, provided us with the opportunity to show our commitment to the project, by successfully demonstrating the live import of lease data directly into the Manhattan Property Management system.  New records were then immediately created and shortly after the successful import the system was able to issue a rent demand.
